Top 5 Vegan Ice Cream Brands to Try

Have you been thinking about trying some vegan ice cream brands recently? Well, you’ve come to the right place. Here I’ve compiled a list of the top 5 vegan ice cream brands you should try!!!

Ice Cream is something pretty hard to give up when going vegan. Not only is it a soft, delicious, cold frozen treat, but it is something that most people have enjoyed since childhood, so finding a delicious cruelty-free swap can be a little difficult, but hopefully this list can give you some motivation to try new things and hopefully maybe you’ll be able to find a new cruelty-free favorite!!!

Whit’s Frozen Custard

So Whit’s is typically known for custard, but let’s be honest, no one can beat them at making the creamiest of the creamiest frozen desserts. Some of their locations now offer an oat-based custard for sale in a variety of rotating flavors. Also did if mention their price? Out of all the other brands on the list, they have the cheapest scoop offerings. But with inflation, it might just be better to stick with the pints 🙁

Graeter’s

Remember in grade school when you’d take those trips to a local Graeter’s and go on the ice cream making tour? Unfortunately, if you were the kid with allergies, it wasn’t as fun as it was for everyone else. Now Greater’s offers a variety of vegan flavors in pints, typically selling two scoopable ones on the floor. Now you can revisit your school days and watch them make ice cream and at the same time enjoy an allergen-friendly/vegan treat too!

So Delicious Wondermilk

So recently So Delicious came out with a new version of ice cream to add to their Almond and Coconut versions. This new one is oat-based and made to be a bit more creamier than the original two and better at resembling the non-vegan ice cream textures and flavors.

This brand is readily available in grocery stores!!!!

Oatly

Yes, this is the oat milk brand that took the non-dairy world by storm and has everyone asking for oat milk in their coffees and lattes. This brand also has an ice cream line that is just as creamy as the non-vegan versions!!!

This brand is readily available in grocery stores!!!!

Brave Robot

So this is a kind of controversial brand. Brave Robot is unique because they use synthetic milk. Yes, real milk, but lab-grown and lactose-free. Since it doesn’t come from an animal, it is technically considered vegan. If you are dead set on having ice cream made with “real” milk, and don’t want to try a plant based alternative, then give this brand a try.

This brand is readily available in grocery stores!!!!

Did any ice cream brands on here pique your interest? If so let me know which one in the comments below. Also, what are your favorite ice cream brands????

Note: Keep in mind that there are a variety of vegan ice cream brands on the market and more are being added daily, this is a comprehensive list of the ice cream brands near me that taste pretty similar to non-vegan ice cream. The availability of these could vary in different areas as well as there could be more or less offerings in the area that you are living in. If you have a favorite brand/company feel free to leave a comment below with your favorite brand of ice cream, so others can check them out!!!!! 🙂
